Compass Plus assignment submission: Site administrator
Introduction
The Compass Plus assignment submission addon provides teachers with the option of setting up assignments to use Compass Plus frameworks and allow students to submit self-assessment competencies as an assignment submission.
The purpose of Compass Plus is to allow students to self-assess themselves on soft-skill competencies, such as life skills or study skills, and also to instantly receive back encouraging and growth-inspiring feedback, specifically for their current competency progress.
The Compass Plus tool is required to be installed and set up correctly to use the Compass assignment submission plugin, please refer to the Compass Plus documentation for more details.
Administration
This section is for the administration of Compass assignment submission plugin.
Version Support
The Compass assignment submission plugin is supported for Moodle versions 4.01, 4.02, and 4.03.
Deployment
To install the Compass assignment submission (assignsubmission_bfcompass):
- Ensure the Compass Plus tool (tool_bfcompass) is installed.
- Unzip and copy the bfcompass folder into Moodle’s mod/assign/submission/ folder.
- Go to Site administration > Notifications to install the assignment submission.

Configurations
The configurations of the Compass assignment submission are:
- Show framework intro – If enabled, the framework introduction will be shown to students when they view the submission form.
