Introduction

The Error details page provides you with all errors for the course, or courses to help find and fix them quickly. Each error has its own Edit link, which brings you directly to edit the original content in which the error occurs.

 

N.B.: In the top right of the Error details page is a “Help docs” button that will bring your directly to this documentation page.

Where to find the Error detils page

The Error details can be accessed via:

  • From Site administration: Site administration > Brickfield Enable > Accessibility management > Go to wizards > Fix > Errors
  • From a course: Course actions menu > More > Brickfield Accessibility+ Toolkit > Fix > Errors.
  • From the course block: Accessibility+ Review block > View Accessibility+ Report (Chart icon) > Fix > Errors
  • From the Check list report: The “View” link that’s available for each check.
  • From the Outline report: The “View” link that’s available for some course modules.

How to use the Error details page

The Error details page displays a table listing the accessibility errors. For each error, an “Edit” link provides the ability to edit the specific resource. The errors HTML can be toggle on/off using the toggle above the top right of the error details table.

 

The Error details page provides the ability to: Make an exception by hiding an individual error.

The Error details page displaying the page heading, number of reviewed courses, help docs button, number of errors listed, toggle to show errors or show errors with html, and the error details table. The error details table has 6 columns: activity, name, check, line, edit, and hide.

The heading area of the wizard will show how many errors are found, and whether the errors listed are for one course or many courses.

  • If the results are for one course, the course name is displayed.
  • If the results are for more than one course, the number of courses is displayed.

 

The table displays a row for each error that contains five parts:

  • Activity.
  • Check.
  • Edit – The link to edit the resource.
  • Line.
  • Existing HTML code.
  • Hide – The checkbox to hide the error when submitted.

Submit errors for hiding

When errors are submitted for hiding, it will only process the errors on the current page. All hidden errors are located and can be reverted if needed in the Hidden errors page.

 

To submit errors for hiding:

  1. Ensure you are viewing the Error details page.
  2. To hide an error, select the “Hide” checkbox.
  3. Select the “Submit Bulk fixing” button to submit all the updates at once.

Edit an errors resource

To edit the resource for an error:

  1. Ensure you are viewing the Error details.
  2. Select the “Edit” link to edit the errors resource.

The available download options for the Error details page

This Error details page table data can be usually downloaded as the following, however this is dependent on your Moodle site’s admin settings as to which download options are enabled:

  • Comma separated values (.csv)
  • Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)
  • HTML table
  • Javascript Object Notation (.json)
  • OpenDocument (.ods)
  • Portable Document Format (.pdf)

Capability Requirements

Access to the Brickfield Accessibility+ Toolkit is controlled by capabilities and users must have the correct capabilities in the correct context.

  • ‘tool/bfplus:viewsystemtools’ capability – To view site level reports and wizards.
  • ‘tool/bfplus:viewcoursetools’ capability – To view inpidual course reports and wizards.
  • ‘accessibilityplustool/errors:view’ capability – To view this Error details page, users must have this and one of the capabilities mentioned above.
