Introduction

The Fix italics wizard provides you with “italic” errors for the course, or courses and updates the formatting of italic text into the correct HTML tag, from the tag to a tag to help fix them quickly.

The (italic) element, or tag, provides no emphasis of text for non-sighted readers. Use the correct tag instead.

N.B.: In the top right of the Fix italics wizard is a “Help docs” button that will bring your directly to this documentation page.

Impact of using i instead of em

The (italic) element only conveys appearance, whereas the element conveys meaning to all.
