Single-user mode gives each student their own board instance:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Private<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 students can only see their own board. Posts are not visible to other students.<\/li><li><strong>Public<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 students each have their own board, but can view each other&#8217;s. Authorship is visible in this mode.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In either single-user mode, you can view and interact with each student&#8217;s board individually. The new column appears with a default name you can change immediately.<\/p><h3>Renaming a column<\/h3><ol><li>Click the <strong>pencil<\/strong> edit icon to the right of the column heading.<\/li><li>Type the new name.<\/li><li>Press\u00a0<strong>Return<\/strong>\u00a0to save.<\/li><\/ol><h3>Moving a column<\/h3><p>Click and hold the\u00a0<strong>four-pronged<\/strong>\u00a0move icon on the column header, then drag it to its new position.<\/p><h3>Locking a column<\/h3><p>Locking prevents students from adding new posts to that column. No configuration is required on your part \u2014 notifications are sent as soon as a comment is added.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Students control how they receive notifications through their own Moodle profile settings.<\/p><h2 id=\"t-singleuser\">Viewing individual student boards<\/h2><p>Single-user mode must be enabled in the board settings. When it is, a dropdown menu appears at the top of the board. Select a student&#8217;s username to load their board. You can interact with any post on any student&#8217;s board.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>All student boards share the same column structure.
