\t<li>On your Moodle course page, with edit mode toggled on, choose <strong>Add an activity or resource <\/strong>in a particular section.<\/li>\n \t<li>Choose either <strong>Assignment <\/strong>or <strong>Quiz <\/strong>from the <em>Activity Chooser<\/em>.<\/li>\n \t<li>Configure the settings as needed, but remember that in order for Planner to calculate dates, a start date and end date are needed.\n<ol>\n \t<li>In <em>Assignment <\/em>settings, set the <strong>Allow submissions from <\/strong>date and the <strong>Due date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n \t<li>In <em>Quiz <\/em>settings, set the <strong>Open date <\/strong>and the <strong>Close date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n \t<li>\u00a0Choose <strong>Save and return to section<\/li><li>Choose <strong>Planner <\/strong>from the <em>Activity Chooser<\/em><\/li><li>Under <em>General<\/em>, enter a name for the Planner and a description<\/li><li>Next to <em>Information on course pag<\/em><i>e<\/i>, choose the level of information from the Planner you wish to display to students when they see Planner on the course page<\/li><li>Use the <em>Select activity<\/em> dropdown menu to select an Assignment or Quiz to associate the Planner with &#8211; one Planner can only be linked to one activity, and vice versa<\/li><li>Use the <em>Template <\/em>dropdown menu to select a template to use for this Planner, from any available global templates or your own personal templates &#8211; allow a moment for the page to refresh<\/li><li>If you wish to amend the instance <em>Restrict access<\/em>, configure if required<\/li><li>When finished, choose <strong>Save and display<\/strong><\/li><li>When the Planner loads, choose the button <strong>Calculate student steps <\/strong>&#8211; this is important, do not forget to do this or Planner will not work for students!<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Create a template<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As well as creating new templates for yourself by editing an existing one within a Planner and saving it, you can create templates from scratch within a course. These templates are associated with your user account so you can use them in any Planner on any course in which you are enrolled as editing teacher.
