Badge Awarder: Site administrator
Introduction
The Badge Awarder report plugin allows teachers and managers to view their course students, see which course badges they have been awarded and when, and then easily award more badges with one click!
This is a course report which fits into the navigation to standard Moodle course reports.
Administration
This section is for the administration of the Badge Awarder report.
Version Support
This plugin is supported for Moodle versions 4.01, 4.02, and 4.03.
Deployment
To install the Badge Awarder report (report_bfbadgeawarder):
- Unzip and copy the bfbadgeawarder folder into Moodle’s report/ folder.
- Go to Site administration > Notifications to install the report.

Configurations
The configurations for the Badge Awarder report are:
- Date issued format – How to display the format of the date issued value.
- Default report start date – Default number of days to use for report start date.
- Use Badge Images as well – Use Badge Images as well as Badge Titles in the header.
- Use Badge Images only – Use Badge Images only in header instead of Badge Titles.
- Enable Badge Awarding – Enable badge awarding link in report.
- Badge ID ordering – Comma separated string of badge IDs, for ordering the display of these badges.
- Excluded Badge IDs – Comma separated string of excluded badge IDs, to hide these badges.
- Show all badges for Admins – Allow the admin to see all badges, including excluded.
- Enable notifications – Notify users when they are awarded badges.

View capability
The capability “report/bfbadgeawarder:view” allows users with the relevant permissions for that context to view the course level Badge Awarder report.
This capability is granted by default to these following archetype roles, using course context:
- Manager
- Teacher
Viewhidden capability
The capability “report/bfbadgeawarder:viewhidden” allows users with the relevant permissions to view excluded badges, when enabled with the showexcludedbadgeidstoadmin setting.
This capability is granted by default to no archetype roles.
