Introduction

This filter displays URLs as the titles from the linked page. For example, If the following link “www.youtube.com” is used in an activity, it will automatically take the title of the page “Youtube” and use it as links text.

 

The Ad hoc task “\tool_bfplus\task\process_link” deals with processing links. For more information, see: Cron and Scheduled tasks.

Enabling URL to link filter

The URL to link filter (filter_bfurltolink module) will not show or operate unless enabled on the Manage Filters page, as it defaults to disabled. To enable the URL to link filter, navigate to:

  • Site administration > Plugins > Filters > Manage Filters

 

To enabled the URL to link filter, set the following as outlined:

  • Set “Convert URLs into links and images” to Disabled
  • Set “Brickfield Convert URLs into links” to Enabled

Configuring URL to link filter

To change the global configuration for the Url to link filter, navigate to:

  • Site administration > Brickfield Enable > Plugins > Brickfield Convert URLs into links.

  • Apply to formats – text editor formats to apply this filter to:
    • Moodle auto-format
    • HTML format
    • Plain text format
    • Markdown format
